Retrieving ACT scores from the past?

Hey, I took the ACT a while back and need to find my scores. Is there a way to retrieve past ACT scores? What's the process like? Thanks in advance for any help!

Sure! To retrieve your past ACT scores, you'll need to visit the ACT's online score reporting system. Here's the process for obtaining your past scores:

1. Go to the ACT website (https://www.act.org/) and click on "Sign In" at the top of the page.

2. Log in to your existing account or create a new account if you don't have one yet. If you've forgotten your login information, click on "Forgot User ID" or "Forgot Password" to recover it.

3. Once logged in, navigate to the "Your Test Dates & Scores" section, where you should find a list of the test dates you took the ACT along with the corresponding scores.

4. If the scores you're looking for aren't available online, it's possible that they've been archived. In this case, you'll need to request your scores by mail or phone. There's a fee associated with archived score retrieval ($40 per test date as of 2023). More information about archived score requests can be found here: https://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/the-act/scores/reports-and-services/archived-request.html

You can also send ACT score reports directly to colleges or institutions of your choice through the ACT website. Note that there may be an additional fee for sending these reports.

Keep in mind that ACT retains scores for tests taken after 10/1/1966 for a period of up to ten years from the date you took the test. If your scores are older than ten years, they may no longer be available.

I hope this helps! Good luck with retrieving your scores.
